Found poetry, and forthcoming

Found lines I wrote using magnetic poetry during spring cleaning

What do you do after a rough week, a week where you continued to be benched to armchair advocacy by a hurt paw? I tried to lean into a few happier things, like poems that will be released this summer.

I found an old magnetic poetry calendar, complete with a couple of poems I’d dropped there over a decade ago. Like most discoveries of this kind, they were in a dusty box. I wrote about such chance encounters in Ephemera, forthcoming from Little Patuxent Review.

As the magnetic words I shuffled around suggest, I’m often looking to the sky, which features in three other poems that will launch soon: Winged Girl, in Star*Line, Icarus and Asking Questions of the Stars in Illumen.
