That was the scene where I started writing The Evacuation, with engineer Marylee rushing to get to the transport on time. It’s part action-adventure, part romance, sure, but what it really is about–what the anthology really is about–are girls who know or learn how to solve problems. Girls who use science and engineering skills to do it. Brave New Girls.
