Parietal Art on Display
Please meet my new series—Ekphrastic Fantastic. Unlike typical ekphrastic, the artworks are mostly in my head, although in this particular case, Visit to a Private Collection of Parietal Art (Dreams and Nightmares, January 2026), there is basis in real art.
Really old art. Art from Pre-Columbian MesoAmerica, transported (in my head) to Mars.

I visited Sedona a few years ago with my partner. We hired one of those ‘pink jeeps’ to take us to the petroglyphs, only it was far less kitsch than this pitch would suggest.
We had the pink jeep to ourselves, got to point and get context. Asked questions. Got history and stories shared through the perspective of our guide.
Visit to a Private Collection of Parietal Art is a creepy universe-that-might-be set on Mars that evokes an improbable connection to pre-Columbian MesoAmerica.
There’s also a cult. They have red hands. Yes, you should be worried.
Plus lava tubes. But lava tubes are cool, so you should not fear them. At least, not so long as the volcano is dormant.
