DRABBUN!

A drabbun is the love child of a drabble (story of exactly 100 words) and a haibun: prose + haiku/scifaiku. “The Xenoveterinarian’s Emergencies”–out now in The Drabbun Anthology 3.0–is my first.

The scifaiku at the end is homage to a veterinarian in-joke: “real doctors treat more than one species.” (It’s possible there were t-shirts. Also possible they were worn around the medical students.)
