You read that right

I went to Balticon this weekend–it was a perfect introduction to Cons! I got to see many of my poet friends in person and scored signed copies of their work–in addition to the usual conference panel, workshop, and shopping fun. The size hit my Goldilocks range–plenty to do without sending my inner introvert weeping into a self-assigned time-out. Bonus: Balticon is local for me.

I know, I know–I’ve been reading, writing and watching SFF my whole life, publishing seriously for over two decades (at least sort-of)–how can this be my first Con ever?

Of course I’ve been to conferences before–of the scientific variety. That science has had a tendency to be demanding of my schedule, which is a lame excuse.

We’ll call this my first step into this particular flavor of SFF community. Check out my loot (and check out these poets/artists if you aren’t familiar with their amazing work):

Mary Soon Lee
