After School with the Raven out now in Lavender Review!

I’m delighted to have a poem out for Pride month in Lavender Review!

Write what you know, my teacher told me.

This poem is the opposite–the fantasy of what I missed when I was growing up. Skipping school, lighting up–these were things I never did, paranoid that I was so inept at being sneaky, I’d A) get caught, and B) wreck my future career. This is a love note to my younger self who always wanted to hang out with the Raven.

(Perhaps unsurprising that I still have a penchant for gorgeous corvids…)
