The Washington Writer’s Publishing House publishes TINY POEMS every year–the structure for this year was the lune.

The lune is an American haiku of three lines that can be constructed in one of two ways. The Kelly Lune (created by Robert Kelly) is syllable based: 5-3-5 syllables. The alternative is the Collom Lune (created by Jack Collom), which is based on number of words: 3-5-3.

My lune Umbrella (a Collom lune) was published this week in WWPH Writes. It feels particularly poignant after losing David KM, who used a wheelchair after a car accident.

I imagine he still safeguards worlds.
